Method 1: Baking Soda


Baking Soda is easy to find in every household. Here is what you need to have for clean tile.

  • ¼ Cup White Vinegar
  • 1 Tablespoon Liquid Dish Soap​
  • ¼ Cup Baking Soda
  • 2 Gallons of very warm water



Add all the items in a bowl. Mix it and dip a sponge in it. Rub the tiles with the sponge, you can also use a scrub for stubborn stains.


Rinse it with water and wipe the water off with a wiper and then a clean cloth.


You can also add a few drops of lavender essential oil for a fresh scent!


Method 2: Alcohol and White Vinegar


Another two common ingredients found in Australian households.


Things required:

  • White Vinegar
  • Alcohol​
  • Water
  • Dish Soap
  • Essential Oils



Add equal parts of white vinegar, rubbing alcohol and water, and now add ½ tsp. of liquid dish soap.


Add a few drops of essential oils for fragrance. Peppermint oil is good to get rid of ants and mice.

Add this mix in a spray and spray it on the tiles. Rinse it with water later on.


Method 3. Lemon Juice and Baking Powder

This method is important for a quick and easy way to fight mold and mildew from your bathroom walls.


All you need to have is:

  • Lemon Juice
  • Baking Soda 

Just add the two components in equal parts of lemon juice and baking powder. Spread the mixture on the mold or mildewed area of your tiles and leave it there for a couple of hours before rinsing.


Method 4. Mouthwash and Warm Water

Another quick and easy eco-friendly tile cleaning method to clean tiles naturally, get the following:

  • A capful of mouthwash
  • Warm water


A capful of mouthwash with a gallon of warm water gives a simple, way to kill germs on your tiles while also getting them clean.


Method 5: Citrus Cleaner

This is one of the most organic ways. All you need to have is:

  • Orange peel
  • White Vinegar 

Add orange peel, or lemon and lime peel to a quarter of white vinegar in a closed container and let it sit for two weeks.

Now add this solution with half water in a spray bottle and spray it on the tiles.

This will give you good smells and also cleans well.
